
Fieldston graduates honored by Colgate

Samantha Grossman, a graduate of the Fieldston School and an economics major at Colgate University, earned the Fall 2021 dean’s award with distinction. To receive this honor, students must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher and complete at least three courses during the semester.
Miles Baccari, another Fieldston graduate and a political science major at Colgate, achieved “Academic Excellence” in Spring 2021, which requires completing at least three courses with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
Meanwhile, the Bronx-based nonprofit Oyate Group has announced its third annual Brandon Hendricks Scholarship for high school seniors from the Bronx who will be attending college in the fall. The scholarship, named in honor of Brandon Hendricks, offers $5,000 to ten deserving students. The application period is open until May 31, and winners will be announced in early July. The scholarship aims to support Bronx youth in pursuing their educational dreams and making a positive impact on their communities.
To apply for the scholarship, eligible high school seniors from the Bronx need to have recently been accepted to college and submit written statements on Brandon Hendricks’ impact and their aspirations for creating positive change in their community.
