Canjean armas de fuego por dinero y ‘sin pregunta’ alguna

El sábado pasado se llevó a cabo un evento de recolección de armas en Washington Heights, organizado por el Departamento de Policía, la Oficina del Fiscal del Condado de Manhattan y el Grupo Oyate, una organización sin fines de lucro. Durante el evento, se canjearon armas de fuego por tarjetas prepagas de $500 dólares a cambio de pistolas y rifles de asalto en funcionamiento. En total, se logró recolectar unas 50 armas. Este tipo de actividades tienen como objetivo retirar armas de las calles y potencialmente salvar vidas. El Grupo Oyate ya ha realizado un evento similar en El Bronx, donde se recolectaron alrededor de 70 armas.
