Xtraspots app that connects drivers with parking spots has Bronx roots
BronxTimes
Xtraspots, a new app founded by Bronx native Charles Sepulveda, connects property owners with unused parking spaces to drivers seeking convenient parking in the Bronx. Sepulveda aims to bring tech innovation to his hometown and empower Bronxites to earn passive income by renting out their driveways or parking spots by the hour. The app, supported by Bronx-based nonprofit Oyate Group, follows a revenue-share model similar to Door Dash and Uber Eats, and received initial funding and mentoring through Oyate’s Community Capital program. By partnering with Oyate Group, Xtraspots aims to benefit the local community while expanding its services, with plans to include electric vehicle charging stations in the future. The app is currently available for download on the Apple Store, with an Android version expected soon.
